A bit about web standards, or "Why is this site so boring?"
Coding a website is a balancing act. For us, that means the main purpose of this site is to provide information to its users rather than rockin' music and animations. We stick to simple, open web standards so that we can make the website fully functional on the widest variety of browsers, including mobile browsers like the one in the iPhone. There is no FLASH here, and no Java either—just a bit of Javascript wherever necessary. The rest is compact, fast, standards-based XHTML and CSS. Try it on your mobile!
