Google calendar special features

The Google calendar used on the home page displays and organizes school events by colour. Individual calendars can be toggled on and off from the drop-down menu at the top right of the calendar window.

The calendars can be accessed in a number of different ways:

  1. view the FHCI home page (or this page on a mobile phone)
  2. log into the Google calendar on the web and search for Forest Heights calendars
  3. subscribe to one of the calendar links, below, to automatically receive the most current FHCI calendar(s) of your choice

Get the calendar on your iPod

Most iPods with a screen can display a calendar. Now, your iPod calendar can automatically display the school events of your choice. Subscribe to any of the following FHCI calendar links on your home computer, and synchronize your iPod with the calendar using the iPod info configuration screen in iTunes. You'll have a copy of the selected FHCI calendar with you in your iPod!

Get the calendar on your cell phone

Create your own Google calendar account on a computer, and search for any or all of the school calendars. Google calendar settings provide a way for Google to message notifications to your cell phone, so you'll always be aware of upcoming events.

Automatically update your calendar(s)

Many programs support ical format calendar files and allow you to subscribe to online ical calendars. Simply subscribe to any calendar using the addresses below (check the import/subscribe options in your calendar program, and copy and paste the address below into your calendar program). Your personal calendar will now always contain an up-to-date copy of any school calendar without you having to go to the FHCI web page to check the events.
