A bit about web standards, or "Why isn't this site very exciting?"
Creating a website is a balancing act between appearance and code complexity. We decided that the main purpose of this website would be to provide information to its users. To do that, we stuck with simple, open web standards so that we could make the website fully functional on the widest variety of browsers, including mobile browsers like the one in the iPhone. There is no FLASH here, and no Java either—just a bit of Javascript wherever necessary. The rest is compact, fast, standards-based XHTML and CSS that should work equally well on your computer or mobile device.
